Mercurial and as steady as a weather vane, Ariel is a man of many interests and peculiar tastes. He possesses great wisdom and knowledge, as well as insight to the things past, present and future. However, the proclivity of his clan skews his natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge, often producing dangerous mixtures of boredom and disdain.

Once a Prince of Temesvar, where a small court of Kindred accompanied him for the centuries he had lived there. Members of the court included: Stella, the Tremere seneschal; Adam, the Toreador; Siegfried, the Brujah innkeeper; Ravenna, the Toreador entertainer; and Riina, the Nosferatu servant. Veri, sorceress of flame from the Tzimisce clan, temporarily stayed in Temesvar as Ariel’s apprentice.

Ariel is a man who started legends. Little is known of him and nobody dares to speak about his deeds, some of which were utterly monstrous and often quite difficult to comprehend. There is no logic to the Malkavians’ doings and the Clan’s ancients are infamously twisted; Ariel can serve as a model example in this case.

It is known he had taken part in burning down Carthage; rumours say he did it for personal reasons.

It is known he changed his ways many times, and each time he got bored with them.

It is known he travelled the world far and wide.

It is known a famous architect was once indebted to him and he paid his dues by building an extraordinarily beautiful castle in Temesvar. Ariel lived in the city for centuries, cultivating a small court; few Kindred ever dared approach his domain.

It is known Ariel left Temesvar some time ago, dissolving his court, and then, led by some strange premonition, arrived in Constantinople just before it was sacked by the crusaders. After the death of Mikhail, he is said to have saved the architect who built Temesvar and then to simply have disappeared.
